MY Basilisk
About this liveaboard
Originally designed to Canadian Lloyds III commercial fishing boat standards, Basilisk has been transformed into a robust ocean-going expedition yacht with a range of 6000 n.m. Her ecological features, including solar electricity, natural ventilation on the main deck and modest fuel use, allow for a modest footprint on the seas. She is equipped with 2+ of everything, from engines & gens to compressors and water-makers. Her 7.6m USCG SAFEBoat tender with a range of 250 miles handles diving and technical support. The 3.6m Highfield RIB assists with shore visits. Three ensuite guest cabins at 14m2 are generous and bright with ample storage space and individual A/C. In good weather, meals are served on the shaded aft deck or beneath sun and stars. In foul weather, a cozy interior dining area seats up to 8 comfortably. Snacks and beverages are taken in the Salon, on the Aft Deck or on the Fly Deck ca. 12m above sea leve with spectacular 360° views.
